OTHER FUNCTIONAL Films

High-Barrier Films are specially engineered polymer films designed to provide superior protection against oxygen, moisture, light, and other external factors. They are typically made from PET, BOPP, CPP, or multi-layer structures with added barrier coatings, ensuring extended shelf life and optimal preservation for sensitive products.

Metallized Films, a subset of high-barrier films, are polymer films coated with an ultra-thin layer of metal—usually aluminum. This metallization further enhances gas and moisture resistance while also providing a reflective metallic appearance. While all metallized films are high-barrier, not all high-barrier films are metallized; some achieve barrier performance through multi-layer lamination or specialized coatings without metal.

High-Barrier & Metallized Films: The “Invisible Guardians” of Products

From ready-to-eat meals and coffee pouches to pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, these functional films quietly protect freshness, flavor, and quality. High-barrier films keep sensitive products safe from external factors, while metallized films combine that protection with an eye-catching metallic finish. Thin, strong, and versatile, these films play a critical role in modern packaging—ensuring safety, extending shelf life, and enhancing product appeal.
